About Bootlegger Distillery

Bootlegger Distillery Inc. was founded two years ago by Michael Brnadic and is located in Bothwell, Ontario. The main product of the distillery is Vodka, but production of Bootlegger Hand Sanitizer commenced in March 2020 to help First Responders and Charitable Organizations in Ontario. With local demand from the manufacturing and agriculture community for hand sanitizer being so high, Bootlegger Distillery started to commercially produce hand sanitizer in April of 2020.

The hand sanitizer meets the standards of the World Health Organization for hand sanitizer, and consists of Ethanol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Glycerol and distilled water.

Bring in your own canisters and we are happy to refill them for $8.00 per litre  + HST.

Guidelines when approximating litres required:

  • Office setting – 250 mls per employee per week
  • Manufacturing – 400 mls per employee per week
  • Agriculture – 500 mls per employee per week

About the Product

The final concentrations of Bootlegger Hand Sanitizer:

  • Ethanol 80% (v/v)
  • Glycerol 1.45% (v/v)
  • Hydrogen peroxide 0.125% (v/v)

The Ethanol used is produced in Chatham-Kent and is the active ingredient that decreases infectious agents on the hands.

The Glycerol used as humectant (makes the product stick to the hands)

Hydrogen Peroxide is used to inactivate contaminating bacterial spores in the solution and is not an active substance for hand antisepsis.

Added scents can be requested, but we do not recommend adding scents as some individuals are highly sensitive to fragrances.
